I Am Not a Christian!
By Tene' Kishan
This is an admonishment for all to put down the ignorance and bible for just a second and to pick up a history book about the origin of one’s religious beliefs and one’s history as a people. Historically, many African Americans have candidly asserted themselves as Christians, devout followers of the teachings of Jesus the Christ. Found to be disturbing are the bewildered responses conveyed by Christians when subsequently asked to expound upon 3 major facts that any believer of this religion should know—What is the origin of the Roman Catholic Church? How did Christianity gain prominence? And how did Christianity become instated as the world’s official religion? The relative truth is that the answers to these crucial questions will not be found by flipping though the thin pages of a King James Bible, this knowledge will not be pontificated unto you by your pastor or priest, and this knowledge will not be found by attending Wednesday night bible study or by visiting your local Christian book store. The reason why these sources will not teach followers this knowledge is because if the masses began to inquire and place feelings of doubt behind their religious beliefs and as a result began to investigate the reasoning and truth behind these teachings, many churches and pastors would be forced to close their doors, a revolt would be raised against the Roman Catholic Church, and this westernized embellishment of religion would become outlawed. The bible and the Christian religion—since the day it was transliterated—were conceived of treachery.
Many have been taught that Jesus founded the Roman Catholic Church and its teachings; however, the formation of the Roman Empire began first with St. Peter and then when Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne a German king of the Franks as the Roman emperor in the year 800 until his death in 814. Charlemagne was a brilliant military strategist, and he was as known for piety and brutality as he was known for forcibly Christianizing Saxons and banning paganism by death when he once beheaded 4000 Saxons in one day. Followers of the Christian religion must understand that prehistorically the Catholic Church had a tough time with convincing and converting people into Christendom because much of the Church’s dogma was questionable, contradicting, and unmethodical, and—to maintain control—people who opposed the Church’s teachings were burned, beheaded and massacred by Holy Roman inquisitors.
Many believe the purported allegation of St. Peter being the first to witness Jesus’s resurrection after his crucifixion and that the pope’s act of tracing his blood line back to St. Peter is what gives the Church legitimacy and authority to reign over the Christian temple. However, during the church’s early establishment, Pope Pius IX did 3 important things. The pope used the Council of Bishops to legitimize his authority to rule. Secondly on 18 July 1870, Pope Pius IX was pronounced infallible by the council, which meant that he received unprecedented power over all of the faithful. The reason for this significant change was so that the pope could protect the Vatican against challenges it was facing in relation to biblical criticism as a result of the scholarly study of human life and past culture (the new movement). Despite the Church’s tradition of burning gospels, people, and evidence that they wanted omitted from religious teachings, scholars continued to uncover lies about the Church’s creation and perpetuations about the myth’s of Jesus the Christ. And lastly, during the modernist movement, the new Pope Pius X issued a ban on the “new movement” as scholars begin to find the church’s teachings impossible and inconsistent. This ban allowed the church to resolve all uncertainties that were placed upon them by asserting that the church was always right about everything under all circumstances.
Many are taught that Christianity is the teachings of Jesus the Christ; however, Christianity predates Jesus by thousands of years. Christianity gained prominence during the reign of “The Great Goddess” of Africa. Many have been taught that Christianity began with Abraham, but contrarily Christianity began in the Middle East thousands of years before Abraham with a woman God named Isis during about 7000 BC. Initially this Goddess reigned alone, but at some point she acquired a consort named Osiris and a son named Horus. As the result of repetitive invasions by Indo-Europeans into Africa, the female position and authority as a deity became suppressed, oppressed, marginalized and eventually sanctioned to be destroyed by the Theodosian decree in 380 AD, a law that legalized the destruction of all pagan temples and teachings of Isis during the rule of Roman Emperor Justinian. In the beginning it was Isis, Osiris and Horus that constituted the Holy Trinity which was originally The Father, The Mother and The Child before Roman Emperor Constantine formulated the Nicene Creed in 325. The Nicene Creed allowed the Roman emperor to accomplish several things: first, it was used to instate Christianity as the official religion of Rome; second, it allowed the emperor to reconstruct the image of the Holy Trinity into the The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost; third, Horus was reincarnated into the image of Jesus; and last, it incorporated Jesus into the image of God, thus forcing people into the belief of a singular supreme authority, otherwise known as God the supreme being.
Constantine was a man who had his wife boiled alive and his own son executed. During his reign, Emperor Constantine helped to develop Christian teachings and ideologies, and it was he and the troubled Roman government who saw the Christian religion as a means to bolster their own political agenda and seize power and control. As Constantine along with the Roman Government clamored for authority, revolts against these forcible actions caused them to authorize holy Roman inquisitions, place restrictions on historical inquiries, and begin the process of burning and rewriting history.
Strong evidence suggests that the Christian church’s burning of books and libraries have set humanity back as much as two thousand years. The problems with much of the world’s religions are that they are falsified and utilized to keep human kind spiritually and materially impoverished; they are used to keep humankind dependent on a pastor or priest for their connection with God; and they are used as a tool to keep their followers oppressed, mentally enslaved, and living in darkness which means that the human will remain divided within themselves. These are not the teachings of Jesus the Christ.
The teachings of Jesus the Christ are a belief in human freedom, spiritual empowerment, and the dependence on self for a connection with God and the pursuit of self-discovery, which ultimately leads to human enlightenment and wealth (both materially and spiritually), and which concludes that a person will become whole.
What needs to be done?--the main actions that need to be taken are for humankind to realize the power of self, find the nature of spirituality, and elevate to a higher level of awareness and consciousness. This is the only way to become freed and independent. To achieve this, it is first important to learn to identify the Church’s goals and the tools that are used to achieve these goals. The Church has 3 goals: maintain control, maintain wealth, and keep human kind divided amongst themselves and living in fear. It is also important to be able to identify the tools that the Church uses to achieve these goals: the creation of guilt and conflict inside the human conscious by the condemnation of mostly all things that the human by nature finds pleasurable and by ensuring that the human maintains a sense of unworthiness by using repressive strategies and methodologies that lead to the destruction of the wholeness of a human being. In order for a person to be whole, they have to possess both spiritual and material elements. If a human possesses one and not the other, this means that the human will be divided with a sense of emptiness that the human will always seek to fulfill. Many Christians cannot remember a time in all their years of membership that the pastor taught them to be spiritual beings by looking inside of themselves for the answer, or about the inherent power of the human mind, or to have faith and hope in the power of self and the power of God within themselves. Instead, they are taught to pray—wait on the Lord—and to continue to tithe 10% until He delivers. These are the acts that keep the human divided, and as long as the human is divided and ignorant to the truth and the power of self, the church is able to contain and maintain control of the human spirit and stay in the business of exploiting each and every one of its members. The Church’s demand that one accept its assertions on “blind faith” has taken on a deadly premise for the African American community, and it is one of the main reasons that Blacks continue to be oppressed, pulverized, exploited, and stationed on the bottom of every hierarchy known to man. Christianity can be thought of as the appellation for a post civil war system of slavery, and it is almost satirical how Blacks brazenly defend the very teachings that the European government still uses to this day to justify enslaving them and how Blacks defend the religious teachings that were created to keep them domesticated, in check, and less of a threat to the English slave masters that packaged them into ships to be trekked across the Atlantic Ocean into captivity. The main problem that most African American Christians face is that they have shut off their minds’ natural desire to inquire, doubt, research and challenge beliefs, most likely in relation to the prehistoric deprivation of their rights to an education and the right to read and write. However, it is a new day and there is too much technology and idle time being wasted on sites like Facebook for African Americans to not take the time to become interested in their history as a race and outraged by the use of the Christian religion as a tool to keep the Black race subjugated. I challenge readers not to take my word for the only source of the truth but to research these things on their own accord.
